“If you wish to make Pythocles rich, do not add to his store of money, but subtract from his desires.” Epicurus
Wealth therapy is counselling for individuals of wealth, celebrity and status who are experiencing the unique problems that can come with these benefits. These could be ‘wealth fatigue syndrome’, ‘affluenza’, a sense of guilt, loneliness, pressure to live up to expectations, problems associated with inheriting at a young age, managing wealthy children, or wondering what purpose there is to life when anything can be bought.
These many problems can then lead to anxiety, depression, phobias, relationship problems, loss of self-confidence, anger management problems, business and career issues and existential questions. We tackle these issues head on to enable you to lead a contented and fulfilling life, despite the pressures that wealth, celebrity or status bring.
We are currently conducting further research into a therapeutic methodology which utilises learning theory. 'Therapeutic learning' is a counselling approach based on recent research which integrates Person-centred therapy and other therapeutic approaches with the principles of long term learning. The process enables you to learn how to manage your challenges and be your own counsellor going forward. If you are interested in participating, please make contact.
